Most children will need some form of medication during their time in school, even if it is only a short course of antibiotics. Other pupils will have long-term or chronic conditions which can fluctuate in severity and these may need careful management, including with the use of medication.
This course provides school staff with the guidance needed to ensure the safety of both staff and children when handling medication in schools. It has been developed to meet the requirements of the UK Government’s “Supporting Pupils with Medical Conditions at School” document.
